Terms of Use & License Agreement

FIRE Club App — effective July 18, 2026 — fireclub.info@gmail.com

By downloading, installing, or using FIRE Club App (the “Software”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software. A copy of this agreement also ships beside the application as its LICENSE file.

1. License

The Software is licensed, not sold. Daniel Yates (“we”, “us”) grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software for your own personal financial planning on devices you own or control. Free features may be used without payment. Premium features require an active subscription and a license key; one subscription covers one person's personal use across their own devices.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Software; share or resell license keys; or remove or circumvent its licensing mechanisms. Local backups of the Software and your data are permitted and encouraged.

2. The Software is a planning tool — not financial advice

Planning only. The Software is for informational, educational, and personal planning purposes. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing it produces is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or to take any financial action. Before acting on any number it produces — retirement timing, withdrawal amounts, Social Security claiming ages, Roth conversion plans — verify your plan with a qualified professional, such as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, CPA, or fee-only fiduciary advisor.

Its projections are hypothetical simulations built on simplified models of markets, taxes, and government programs, and on assumptions and data you supply. Simulated and historical results do not predict or guarantee actual outcomes. Actual investment returns, inflation, tax law, Social Security rules, and your own circumstances will differ from any model. Using the Software creates no advisory, fiduciary, or professional relationship of any kind between you and us.

3. Your data and responsibilities

The Software stores your data locally on your device; we do not receive it. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for keeping backups (a backup tool is provided in Settings), and for securing the device the Software runs on. Lost data cannot be recovered by us. How we handle the little data that does reach us is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions and billing

New subscriptions may include a free trial (currently 7 days). A payment method is collected at signup, and recurring billing begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then — canceling during the trial costs nothing. Premium subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until canceled. You may cancel at any time in the Stripe billing portal (sign in with the email you used at checkout; the portal also updates payment methods and shows invoices), or by emailing fireclub.info@gmail.com. Premium features remain active through the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice, taking effect at your next renewal. Payment disputes and refund requests: fireclub.info@gmail.com.

5. No warranty

6. Limitation of liability

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so parts of the section above may not apply to you.

7. Third-party components

The Software includes open-source components listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md (shipped beside the application), each under its own license. Historical market data is used under its providers' terms.

8. Termination and changes

This license ends automatically if you materially breach it. We may update these terms for future versions and renewals; the terms shipped with your installed version (and posted on this page) apply to you. Continued use or renewal after a change constitutes acceptance. If any provision of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
